While we've been involved in the internet since 1992, we made the mistake of observing the rules of the time and not registering names we couldn't use immediately. Those who ignored the rules are now millionaires.

The late 90's brought us the "Internet Gold Rush", in which tens of millions of dollars were handed to any internet related startup company that asked for funding. These companies bought domain names, driving the price of any even slightly recognizable name into the hundreds of thousands of dollars. We might note here that we did not ask for funding, again insuring that we are not millionaires.

By early 1999, it was clear that the Gold Rush was over, and premium domain names once again became available at a reasonable price. We began a strategy of buying names which had potential for development into successful web sites in the future, but making them available to others at a reasonable price while the projects are in our queue. This is not 'cybersquatting', a term coined to describe those who purchase domain names of trademark holders, then try to sell the name to the trademark owners for very large sums of money. We make every effort to purchase only those names which have a common English meaning, and we avoid those names which imply a relationship to any well known company.
